There was a surprise result when ninth ranked USK Praha B (7-9) rolled over on the road higher ranked Havirov (9-7) 85-55 on Sunday. USK Praha B outrebounded Havirov 46-22 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. USK Praha B looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by swingman Natalie Koucka (189-2003) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Karolina Petlanova (180-2005) supported her with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four USK Praha B players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 4 steals by swingman Veronika Szabo (175-2003) did not help to save the game for Havirov. Swingman Gabriela Buskova (175-2000) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. USK Praha B maintains ninth position with 7-9 record, which they share with Benesov. Loser Havirov dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. USK Praha B will meet at home Strakonice (#11) in the next round. Havirov will play against Jablonec (#12) and hope to secure a win.
